hey people,
It was nice to be meeting up with the folks from this group at the Madrone!
I thought I can work out a small list of software packages that can help you do some cool stuff with your music. Well, I guess the hot fav amongst the most of you is `Abelton Live' but I think there are plenty of other interesting pieces of code out there which can make your tunes all the more interesting to dance to.
I think if you are looking to add some specific effects, there are some pretty amazing tools out there. So here goes:
ANTARES: http://www.antarestec...
autotune
filter
avox vocal
kantos
AudioEase: http://www.audioease....
Altiverb
Sony
dvd architect
sound forge
native instruments: http://www.native-ins...
guitar rig
ABSynth
kontakt
Great audio destruction plugs:

If you are looking for that `all in one' package, then with a few seemlingly minor compromises, I think you shall be borderline happy with the following:
Adobe Audition ( formerly CoolEditPro)
Sony Acid Pro
Abelton Live
Sonar Cakewalk
I shall add some descriptions and specifics on each of the above in the next couple of weeks, but I thought I can get out this list quicker and let you all help me at that ;)
So enjoy the tools and let your tunes exhibit your character!
cheers
Gopal
